Role Overview: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience by assisting with merchandise, maintaining displays, and operating the cash register.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload trucks and follow processes to receive and stock merchandise.
- Build displays, stock, rotate, and face products on shelves.
- Assist customers in locating items and provide courteous service.
- Operate cash register, handle transactions, and bag purchases.
- Maintain store cleanliness by cleaning floors, restrooms, and taking out trash.
- Assist with ordering merchandise and setting up store displays.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of safety policies and merchandise presentation guidelines.
- Basic cash handling and mathematical skills.
- Ability to perform cash register functions and read plan-o-grams.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Working Conditions: Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds. Ability to use equipment like scanners, box cutters, and dollies. Fast-paced environment with moderate noise and occasional outdoor exposure.
