Role Overview:
This position involves acting as the primary point of contact for customers, assisting with merchandise stocking, displays, and store cleanliness, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, receiving and organizing merchandise, building displays, restocking, and aiding customers in locating products. Additionally, duties encompass operating cash registers, processing payments, and maintaining store safety and cleanliness standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload trucks and stock merchandise according to plan-o-grams.
- Build and rotate merchandise displays on shelves.
- Assist customers by locating items and providing friendly service.
- Operate cash registers, handle transactions, and bag merchandise.
- Maintain store cleanliness by cleaning floors, restrooms, and disposal of trash.
- Support store setup, including sidewalk displays when needed.
- Follow company policies and safety procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safety practices and basic cash handling.
- Ability to read and follow plan-o-grams.
- Basic math skills and proficiency with cash register functions.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
