Role Overview:
The Sales Associate serves as a key contact for customers, assisting with merchandise selection, operating the cash register, stocking and organizing products, and maintaining store cleanliness. Their goal is to enhance customer satisfaction and support store profitability while safeguarding company assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting shoppers.
- Operate cash registers, handle transactions, and assist with merchandise bagging.
- Unpack, stock, rotate, and display merchandise according to company guidelines.
- Maintain store cleanliness, including dusting, mopping, trash removal, and restroom sanitation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to follow planograms and presentation standards.
- Basic cash handling and mathematical skills.
- Ability to stock merchandise and operate a cash register.
Preferred Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and stooping.
- Handling merchandise and equipment such as scanners, boxes, and carts.
- Occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds and climbing using ladders.
- Fast-paced environment with moderate noise and occasional outdoor exposure.
