Role Overview: The Safety Specialist applies scientific and practical knowledge to innovate, design, and improve safety systems, processes, equipment, and tools. Their goal is to enhance safety characteristics in alignment with operations, new models, and innovation efforts, promoting safety excellence and reducing injuries and hazards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead departmental and plant improvement projects supporting safety initiatives.
- Implement PDCA cycles to ensure continuous safety improvements.
- Support safety culture development through collaboration with leaders and safety committees.
- Interpret and apply safety policies, perform risk assessments, ergonomic studies, and document safety activities.
- Analyze safety data, report findings, and develop technical expertise.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field.
- 0-4 years of safety experience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and injury prevention strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and effective planning abilities.
