Position: Registered Nurse Triage (RN) — General Surgery Medical Group
Location: Arlington Heights, IL
Type: Full Time (40 hours/week)
Responsibilities: Under supervision, the Triage Nurse assesses patient needs via inbound and outbound calls, demonstrating strong customer service skills through active listening, clinical assessment, education, and problem-solving. Key duties include phone triage, patient education, Continuous Glucose Monitor placement, testing, insurance pre-authorization, referrals, and maintaining exam rooms. The role involves managing immediate and ongoing patient needs with a focus on acute and preventive care.
Qualifications & Skills: Current Illinois RN license and CPR certification required. Office RN and BSN preferred. Must be a self-starter capable of handling high-stress situations, with physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 lbs. Effective communication skills in English (written & verbal) are essential. Physical stamina for prolonged standing, walking, bending, and repetitive hand use is necessary.
