Position: Registered Nurse Triage (RN) – General Surgery
Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care via inbound and outbound phone triage, assessing caller needs with active listening, clinical evaluation, and problem-solving skills.
- Manage immediate and ongoing patient needs, including acute and preventive interventions.
- Perform duties such as patient education, continuous Glucose Monitor placement, testing, insurance pre-authorization, referrals, and maintaining exam rooms.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current Illinois RN license and CPR certification from AHA.
- Preferred: Office RN experience and BSN degree.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations, stand/walk/sit for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs., and communicate effectively in English.
