The RN – Team Coordinator is responsible for overseeing patient care and guiding nursing staff within a hospital setting, ensuring compassionate, patient-centered care on a shift-to-shift basis.
Practices autonomously within professional standards, regulations, and hospital policies. Develops collaborative practice, promotes safety, and participates in quality improvement and LEAN initiatives. Serves as a role model, mentor, and resource, supporting staff education and professional development. Facilitates communication, manages patient assignments, and resolves conflicts within the team. Participates in education, committee work, and process improvement efforts, including Shared Governance. Requires a college degree (BSN preferred), minimum 2 years of clinical experience, RN licensure, and certifications like BLS and ACLS. Works night shifts at Holston Valley Medical Center, with rotating weekends and no travel required. The role emphasizes leadership, clinical expertise, effective communication, and commitment to ongoing education to support high-quality patient care.
