RN – Specialty Procedure II

Role: The Registered Nurse (RN) manages nursing care activities in the cath lab and interventional radiology areas.

Responsibilities: Conducts comprehensive patient assessments, develops individualized care plans, implements and documents nursing interventions, and evaluates patient responses to treatments. Provides patient education, assists physicians, and ensures safety and infection control standards are maintained. Demonstrates professionalism, collaborates with healthcare teams, and delivers service excellence by providing respectful, timely, and high-quality care. Participates in quality improvement initiatives and adapts care for all age groups, including high-risk patients requiring specialized procedures such as restraints and pain management.

Qualifications: Requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program, valid RN license, and at least one year of medical-surgical experience; critical care or PACU experience preferred. Must hold BLS and ALS certifications.

Skills: Strong assessment, planning, communication, and clinical skills; ability to recognize changes in patient condition; commitment to safety, infection control, and professional growth.

Additional duties include adhering to safety protocols, prioritizing patient service, and participating in ongoing education and quality initiatives.
