Role Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care by assessing residents’ health, educational, and environmental needs, and developing dynamic, interdisciplinary care plans. Communicates significant changes to the team, documents assessments and interventions accurately, and ensures timely implementation of nursing orders, treatments, and medication administration. Utilizes critical thinking to address residents’ changing conditions, maintains professionalism during crises, and monitors care effectiveness. Supports residents with ADLs, responds to call lights, and stays current with nursing practices through ongoing education. May perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Licensed RN with graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Current RN license in the state of employment
- CPR/AED certification required or willing to obtain within six months
- Critical thinking, excellent communication, and time management skills
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist residents and equipment safely
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity for documentation and patient care
- Preferred experience in long-term care setting
