Position: Registered Nurse – Observation Unit
Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital
Type: Full-Time, 36 hours/week, 7pm-7am, rotating weekends and holidays
The Staff Nurse provides safe, compassionate care across patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans. They collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal outcomes and continuity of care.
Qualifications: An Associate Degree or higher in Nursing (with a pathway to a Bachelor’s Degree for some), current Illinois RN licensure, CPR certification, knowledge of EKG interpretation, and NIHSS Stroke Scale certification (required).
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree, surgical care experience, ACLS certification, and inpatient nursing experience.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver patient-centered nursing care, coordinate with team members, and contribute to quality improvement efforts.
