The RN – Nurse Manager, MSN/MBA oversees 24-hour operations of designated clinical departments, ensuring high-quality, patient- and family-centered care.
Responsibilities include setting and maintaining standards for patient care, regulatory compliance, managing team performance, and developing policies. Utilizes advanced nursing and management knowledge to improve clinical outcomes, reduce costs, and promote innovation. Focuses on fiscal management, resource allocation, and performance metrics aligned with organizational goals. Supports shared leadership, fosters team development, and participates in organizational committees and improvement initiatives. May serve as a staff RN in the absence, demonstrating critical thinking and evidence-based practice. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Nursing, Master’s preferred, RN licensure, and relevant clinical and supervisory experience. Certifications like BLS, ACLS, PALS, and others are required based on area.
The role is based at Johnson City Medical Center, with a day shift and no travel required.
