The RN – Nurse Manager, MSN/MBA oversees 24-hour operations of a clinical department, ensuring high-quality, patient- and family-centered care.
Responsibilities include setting and maintaining standards for quality, regulatory compliance, managing staff performance, and developing policies. Applies advanced nursing and management knowledge to improve clinical, service, and team performance while promoting innovation and cost-efficiency. Utilizes critical thinking to implement evidence-based practices, monitor fiscal and quality metrics, and achieve organizational goals. Supports shared leadership, fosters team development, and participates in organizational improvement initiatives. May function as a staff RN in their absence to support patient care. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred), RN licensure, valid certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP), with supervisory experience preferred. The position is based at Johnson City Medical Center, with a day shift and no travel required.
