The RN – Nurse Manager, MSN/MBA oversees the 24-hour operations of a clinical department, ensuring high-quality, patient- and family-centered care.
Responsibilities include maintaining regulatory compliance, managing team performance, developing policies, and promoting innovation to improve clinical and operational efficiency. The role involves applying advanced nursing and management knowledge to enhance patient outcomes, staff development, fiscal management, and performance improvement. The Nurse Manager fosters shared leadership, encourages team participation, and leads organizational improvement efforts through committees and cross-disciplinary teams. In the absence of an RN, may support direct patient care.
Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, active RN licensure, relevant clinical and supervisory experience, and applicable certifications. A Master’s degree is preferred.
This position is based at Johnson City Medical Center, with a day shift, no travel, and no on-call duties.
