Role Overview: This position provides direct patient care in the NICU Neonatal Care unit, utilizing advanced nursing practices within a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional outcomes. It involves prioritizing patient wellness, safety, and evidence-based practice, while mentoring new staff and contributing to a secure clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-level nursing care based on the nursing process and standards.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Support ongoing education and competency validation for clinical staff.
- Adhere to practice standards such as AWHONN and AACN guidelines, including certifications like RNC-OB, C-EFM, NRP, and CCRN.
- Maintain safety and quality at the point of care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (less than 3 years’ experience) or equivalent.
- Current RN licensure and relevant certifications.
- Minimum six months of Women and Infants nursing experience or completion of a fellowship program.
- Valid BLS/CPR certification through AHA or Red Cross.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
