RN – Medical ICU Nurse Transition Program – Nights

Position: RN – Medical ICU Transition Program

Role & Responsibilities: Provide professional nursing care following state and hospital policies. Assess patient conditions, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress, and document observations. Delegate tasks appropriately and collaborate with the team to meet unit goals. Participate in an 8-12 week critical care nurse transition program with precepted shifts, gaining specialized skills for ICU nursing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Associate Degree or higher in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred)

Current Illinois RN licensure

CPR certification

Minimum 1 year inpatient RN experience

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree, ECG monitoring, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and 2+ years of inpatient experience
