Role Overview:
The RN – Medical ICU provides professional nursing care in accordance with state regulations, hospital policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assess patient conditions, recognize changes, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
– Monitor patient progress and document observations.
– Delegate appropriate tasks to staff and collaborate as part of a team to meet unit goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
– Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing preferred; Associate Degree required with a plan to obtain a Bachelor’s within five years if applicable.
– Minimum of 2 years of critical care RN experience.
– Current Illinois RN licensure, CPR certification, and ACLS within six months of hire.
