We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a 9A Medical-Surgical unit with 24 private beds, serving patients typically over 17 years old with various diagnoses, including post-surgical and medical illnesses.
**Responsibilities:**
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Administer medications following the Five Rights and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Document nursing care accurately and maintain patient safety through adherence to safety protocols. Delegate tasks to healthcare team members and ensure their completion. Respond promptly to patient needs, answer call lights, and evaluate patient condition using critical thinking. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes. **Qualifications & Skills:**
Current Illinois RN license and BLS certification. Strong clinical skills including IV insertion, wound care, tracheostomy, and other hands-on procedures. Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient safety focus. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, complex environment.
