Role Overview: Provides high-quality nursing care in a hospital unit with private and semi-private rooms, focusing on common diagnoses such as diabetes, cellulitis, CHF exacerbation, infections, sepsis, pain management, and cardiac issues.
Responsibilities: Performs patient assessments, develops and implements individualized care plans, documents care activities, and ensures patient safety through adherence to safety protocols. Delegates tasks to healthcare team members, manages medication administration following the five rights, and responds promptly to patient needs. Maintains effective communication within the healthcare team, promotes a positive work environment, and ensures compliance with departmental standards. Uses critical thinking to evaluate patient conditions and adjusts care accordingly.
Qualifications & Skills: Current RN license, BLS certification, and relevant educational background. Strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and patient safety focus are essential.
