Role Overview:
The Nurse Manager oversees and coordinates the FMS Department, including LDRP, Nursery, antepartum, gynecology, and outpatient testing units.
They supervise staff, interpret policies, and ensure quality patient care, while maintaining public relations through teaching and community engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 5 years of nursing experience are required.
Candidates should possess knowledge of current nursing practices, project management, fiscal management, EMTALA, and emergency nursing, along with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulate nursing philosophies and standards, develop policies, determine staffing and resource needs, and evaluate departmental performance.
They handle personnel management, including hiring and disciplinary actions, and forecast future unit needs.
The Nurse Manager reviews data, conducts patient rounds, maintains records, manages budgets, and ensures compliance with safety and infection control standards.
