Any laboring or preterm mom over 20 weeks, along with postpartum moms needing readmission, are cared for here.
Our staffing ratios vary based on patient status: 1:2 for laboring, 1:1 for active labor or C-section, 1:3 antepartum, and 1:4 triage/OB-ED, following AWHONN standards.
The staff nurse delivers comprehensive nursing care from birth through the lifecycle, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Qualifications include a nursing program graduate, current Georgia RN license or multistate license, and BLS certification.
Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, hospital nursing experience, advanced certifications such as ACLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring training within specified timeframes.
PRN candidates require at least one year of hospital nursing experience.
