RN ICU Float Pool Multiple Shifts

Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in an ICU setting, utilizing the nursing process within a technically complex environment. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes, prioritizes evidence-based practice, and models proficiency through precepting new staff. Demonstrates flexibility in shifts, including nights and weekends, and adheres to clinical safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver top-of-scope nursing care based on clinical guidelines and models such as AACN’s Synergy Model.
  • Support and guide specialty education and competency validation during clinical orientation.
  • Contribute to a safe, efficient, and patient-centered clinical environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with valid RN licensure.
  • Minimum of 6 months ICU or PCU nursing experience or completion of a fellowship program.
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications (through AHA or Red Cross), valid through sixty days post-hire.

Key Duties: Providing expert nursing care, precepting new staff, participating in ongoing education, and ensuring safety and quality at the point of care. The role emphasizes teamwork, continuous learning, and a patient-focused approach to healthcare delivery.
