RN – First Assist (RNFA)

Role Overview: This PRN perioperative position involves providing first assistant support during surgeries, working closely with surgeons and the surgical team. The RNFA delivers intraoperative patient care, conducts pre-operative assessments, and develops individualized care plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons during procedures, ensuring patient safety and effective care.
  • Perform preoperative assessments and communicate patient outcomes.
  • Monitor patient responses, modify care plans, and administer medications.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to enhance efficiency and safety.
  • Engage in professional development, uphold ethical standards, and contribute to team growth.
  • Qualifications & Skills:

  • RN license with 2-5 years of experience.
  • Required certifications include CNOR and Certified First Assistant.
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Strong teamwork, assessment, and communication skills.
