Job Summary:
Responsibilities include: assessing patients through comprehensive multi-system evaluations, developing individualized nursing care plans, coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams, and providing direct patient care based on protocols. The RN manages patient treatments, documents care accurately, and performs procedures correctly. They evaluate patient responses to care, participate in quality assurance, and ensure discharge planning meets patient needs.
Qualifications:- Minimum nine months RN experience, with at least one year in emergency department or completion of a related internship program.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Licenses and certifications include RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale within specified timeframes. PALS or Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within six months.
- Additional skills include computer proficiency and emergency pediatric course.
- Previous healthcare experience, Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
- Certifications such as CEN and TNCC are preferred.
- Ability to recognize cardiac dysrhythmias, effective communication, and strong interpersonal skills are advantageous.
