Role Overview: The RN Clinical Charge Nurse leads and oversees daily unit operations in an acute care cardiac telemetry setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Directs patient care delivery, manages staff assignments, and monitors resource utilization to ensure high-quality, safe care.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, facilitates communication, and participates in clinical and operational planning.
Performs bedside rounds, evaluates care quality, and ensures compliance with clinical standards and evidence-based practices.
Supports staff development, serves as a mentor, and promotes a culture of safety and excellence.
Manages patient flow, discharge planning, and unit readiness, including scheduling and bed management.
Assists in quality improvement initiatives, data collection, and research activities to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Associates or Bachelor’s Nursing degree preferred.
Current RN license and required certifications including BLS, ACLS, and multi-state Compact license.
Demonstrates clinical expertise, strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
Experience in acute care, telemetry, or similar settings is preferred.
