RN – Acute Care – Orthopedic Surgery – Full-Time Night Shift

Role Overview: The Clinical Nurse RN provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team in an acute orthopedic surgical setting. They practice according to evidence-based standards, upholding the nursing scope of practice and ethical guidelines, while supporting system policies and service excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care using critical thinking and individualized approaches.
  • Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making, ensuring cultural competence.
  • Coordinate safe, quality care delivery, fostering teamwork, interdisciplinary collaboration, and respectful clinical environments.
  • Support professional growth by completing competency assessments, mentoring peers, and participating in performance improvement activities.
  • Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and data-driven decision-making aligned with organizational policies and safety standards.
  • Contribute to protocol development, resource management, and system-wide initiatives to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
  • Current RN license (single or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
  • Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and time management skills; proficient with technology and documentation.
