RN – Acute Care – Orthopedic Surgery – Full-Time Night Shift

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team, focusing on individualized care and clinical excellence. They practice in a supportive environment guided by evidence-based standards, organizational policies, and professional ethics, ensuring adherence to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice and critical thinking.
  • Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive care aligned with patient needs and goals.
  • Partner with patients and families through effective communication methods, including bedside reports and education.
  • Coordinate and document safe, quality care, fostering teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor, supporting professional development and workforce sustainability.
  • Promote research utilization, uphold safety standards, and contribute to protocol development and resource management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate or Bachelor of Nursing degree (Bachelor preferred).
  • Current RN license (single or multi-state), BLS certification, and minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies with professionalism and composure.
  • Critical thinking, analytical skills, and a commitment to evidence-based practice are essential.
