RN – Acute Care – Orthopedic Surgery – Full-time Day Shift

Role: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team in an acute care orthopedic surgical setting. They practice in accordance with professional standards, including the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, ensuring individualized care through the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) supported by evidence-based practices.


Responsibilities:

  • Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive care tailored to patient needs.
  • Partner with patients and families through effective communication and clinical rounds.
  • Coordinate safe care, document accurately, and promote teamwork and inclusion.
  • Participate in performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster professional growth.
  • Contribute to protocol development and resource management to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare policies, standards, and safety goals.

  • Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
  • Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in technology and clinical documentation.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, emergency-responsive environment.
