RN Acute Care – Ortho Surgical – Part-Time Night Shift

The RN Clinical Nurse in this role provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team in an acute care setting, focusing on orthopedic surgery.

They perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practices and critical thinking to individualize care.

Key responsibilities include fostering relationships with patients and families, coordinating care, ensuring effective communication, and practicing in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.

They collaborate with team members, participate in performance improvement activities, and support evidence-based research and protocols to enhance patient outcomes.

Professional development involves ongoing competency assessments, mentoring, and serving as a preceptor.

Qualifications include a minimum of five years of RN experience, active licensure (RN or RN-Compact), BLS certification, and strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and critical thinking skills.

Preferred education is a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, with knowledge of technology and a commitment to culturally competent care.
