RN – Acute Care – Ortho Surgical – Full-time Day Shift

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse specializes in acute care, specifically in orthopedics, providing high-quality, safe, patient-centered care within a collaborative interdisciplinary team. They practice according to evidence-based standards, uphold the nursing scope of practice, and adhere to professional, legal, and ethical guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using critical thinking and individualized care.
  • Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive care tailored to patient needs and preferences.
  • Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and goal-setting.
  • Coordinate safe, quality care through interdisciplinary collaboration and timely documentation.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives, research utilization, and evidence-based practice.
  • Mentor and serve as a preceptor for peers and students, promoting professional development.
  • Participate in protocol development, resource management, and system-wide quality initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s nursing degree preferred.
  • Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments, demonstrating critical thinking and emergency response capabilities.
  • Proficiency in technology and basic computer skills.
