RN Acute Care – Neuro – PRN Night Shift

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse specializes in acute neuro care, working within an interdisciplinary team to provide individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. They practice under the guidance of Nurse Managers and adhere to evidence-based standards, the Georgia Nurse Practice Act, and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based practice.
  • Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity and involves patients and families through effective communication and education.
  • Coordinate and document safe, high-quality care, fostering teamwork through interdisciplinary communication and promoting an inclusive, respectful environment.
  • Support professional development by serving as preceptor or mentor, completing competency assessments, and participating in performance improvement and research activities.
  • Advocate for evidence-based practice and participate in protocol development to improve patient outcomes, while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and safety standards.
  • Proactively plan patient care across the continuum, utilizing resources efficiently and supporting quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associates or Diploma Nursing required; Bachelors preferred.
  • Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
  • Experience in direct patient care preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, time management, and technological skills essential.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies professionally.
