Retail Pharmacy Technician – Full Time

Role Overview: The Pharmacy Technician prepares, compounds, dispenses medications, and performs technical duties under supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately dispense medications, including IVs, using proper procedures and verify with pharmacists.
  • Operate and maintain Automated Dispensing Cabinets, including loading medications, monitoring levels, generating reports, and troubleshooting minor issues.
  • Prepare various sterile and non-sterile medications following aseptic techniques and safety standards, including specialty solutions and large volume preparations.
  • Repackage, barcode, and manage medication inventory, including controlled substances, recalls, and outdate tracking.
  • Provide excellent customer service to healthcare professionals and patients in person or virtually.
  • Assist with ordering supplies, processing charges, and performing pharmacy inspections.
  • Train and mentor other pharmacy technicians as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician (PHT) or equivalent certification, licensed with the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Hospital pharmacy experience preferred, with knowledge of automated systems, inventory management, and pharmacy laws.
  • Basic computer, communication, management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to lift at least 30 pounds and push carts up to 100 pounds.
