Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist assesses patient respiratory needs, plans and performs treatments, and collaborates with the care team.
Key Responsibilities: Conducts thorough patient assessments, develops care plans, administers therapies including aerosolized medications and oxygen, manages mechanical ventilators, provides patient and family education, assists with airway management, and participates in intra-hospital transport. Ensures compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements, and supports invasive procedures such as bronchoscopy and line placement. Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to established care protocols.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduation from a specialty training program is required. The role demands clinical expertise, excellent communication, and adherence to evidence-based practices. Ability to work independently within a protocol-driven environment and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
