Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT) provides comprehensive respiratory care, including assessment, treatment planning, and execution of therapies such as aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management.
Key Responsibilities: Perform patient assessments, establish care plans, communicate with healthcare team, and manage therapeutic modalities. Assist with airway management, monitor and interpret non-invasive devices, and support intra-hospital patient transport.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from a specialty training program, with proficiency in pulmonary treatments, mechanical ventilation, and emergency airway management. Ability to educate patients and families, and function as a shift coordinator or preceptor.
Additional Duties: Collect arterial blood gases, assist with invasive procedures, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
