Role: Respiratory Therapist providing patient assessments, developing care plans, and delivering therapeutic modalities such as aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and airway management.
Responsibilities: Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation, assist with invasive procedures, monitor patient status with non-invasive tools, and support intra-hospital transport. Educate patients and families on disease management, assist with discharge planning, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Serve as Shift Coordinator and preceptor when designated.
Qualifications: Graduate from a Specialty Training Program with at least 2 years of related experience. Ability to float between multiple hospital locations, perform in both day and night shifts, and handle emergent airway situations.
Skills: Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to operate ventilators, monitors, and blood analyzers, and maintain patient confidentiality.
Additional duties: Assist in bronchoscopy procedures, obtain hemodynamic measurements, and support department growth and safety initiatives.
