Respiratory Therapist – Regional Float, Registered

Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist performs patient assessments, develops care plans, and communicates with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities include administering therapies such as aerosol medications, oxygen, and secretion management, managing mechanical ventilators, and monitoring patient status with non-invasive tools.
They assist in airway management, transport of ventilated patients, and procedures like bronchoscopy, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
Additional duties involve blood gas sampling, patient education, discharge planning, and serving as a charge person when designated.
They also act as preceptor for students and orientees, contributing to clinical training.

Qualifications & Skills: Requires a graduate from a specialty training program, with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Ability to float between multiple hospital locations and work 12-hour shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends, is essential.
Strong communication, clinical judgment, and adherence to safety standards are necessary for success.
