Role Overview: Responsible for assessing, planning, performing, and evaluating patient respiratory care. Performs thorough assessments, develops care plans, and communicates with the healthcare team. Operates therapeutic modalities such as aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and artificial airway management. Manages mechanical ventilators, provides patient and family education, and assists with intra-hospital transport and emergency airway management. Collects arterial blood gases, supports fiberoptic procedures, and assists with invasive monitoring. Ensures compliance with safety standards, regulations, and confidentiality.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Respiratory Therapist experience required
- Graduate of Specialty Training Program
- Ability to operate state-of-the-art equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and protocols
- Ability to perform in emergency situations and manage complex respiratory needs
