Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment primarily in critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care through assessment, therapy planning, and execution, including ventilator management, airway procedures, and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Educate patients, families, and support systems, while mentoring new staff and students.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality, safe, and evidence-based care.
- Promote high safety standards, documentation accuracy, and participation in performance improvement initiatives.
- Assist with invasive and non-invasive procedures, and Pulmonary Diagnostic Testing as needed.
- Support a positive team environment and contribute to staff development.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
- Certifications: NBRC-RRT, Respiratory Care Prof, BLS, and ACLS upon hire.
- 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills; ability to establish effective relationships with healthcare professionals.
