Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, including medication administration, ventilator management, and patient assessment in critical care settings. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care through assessments, therapy, and collaboration with healthcare teams
- Manage ventilators, perform airway procedures, and analyze arterial blood gases
- Educate patients, mentor new staff, and support staff development
- Promote safety, accurate documentation, and adherence to evidence-based practices
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and procedural assistance
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC-RRT or RCP
- 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills
- Ability to establish effective relationships with healthcare professionals and patients
