This role is for a Respiratory Therapist II working night shifts, primarily in critical care areas, with responsibilities including medication administration, ventilator management, airway procedures, and arterial blood gas analysis.
They will provide patient assessment, education, and support to patients and families, while collaborating with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
Key duties involve ensuring quality and safe patient care, promoting high standards in medication safety, documentation, and performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications include a graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program, with an Associate’s Degree required and a Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Candidates need 0-2 years of clinical experience, including a minimum of six months in critical care.
Necessary skills are excellent communication, critical thinking, and computer literacy. Certifications required are Registered Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Care Professional, BLS, and ACLS.
Additional duties include mentoring staff, participating in invasive and diagnostic procedures, and contributing to quality improvement efforts.
