Position: Lead Respiratory Therapist RRT – Nights
Location: Elmhurst Hospital
Role Overview: Responsible for coordinating daily shift activities, supervising respiratory therapy staff, ensuring adherence to patient care standards, and managing departmental performance and budget compliance. Provides leadership by assisting with assessments, initiating orders, resolving procedural or equipment issues, and addressing patient, physician, or nursing complaints. Adjusts work assignments based on workload fluctuations and maintains compliance with healthcare standards.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, current CPR, RRT, NALS, PALS certifications, and Illinois DPR Respiratory Care Practitioner license are required. A minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience is essential, with preferred experience in NEO/NICU and PFT.
