Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) – Inpatient

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) performs routine and critical respiratory care procedures under supervision, delivering care across neonatal to geriatric populations.

Responsibilities include: evaluating patient respiratory status, administering therapy and medications, setting up and maintaining oxygen, aerosol, and ventilator support, and performing blood gas analyses.

The role may involve training in endotracheal intubation and arterial line insertion, with opportunities to assume charge roles.

Additional duties encompass assessing patients, charting in EMR, maintaining equipment, and supporting transport teams.

Qualifications: an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy, licensure as a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), and NBRC registration as an RRT.

Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required within specified timeframes.

Skills: strong evaluation, technical, and documentation skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
