Role Overview:
Performs essential respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients, including assessment, airway management, aerosol and oxygen therapy, arterial blood gases, and ventilator support. Provides patient and family education on respiratory conditions, assists with specialized procedures, and ensures equipment readiness and compliance with safety protocols. Collaborates with physicians and staff, maintains accurate documentation, and participates in staff training and supervision. Responsible for equipment maintenance, quality control, and inventory management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program
- RCP license (required), NBRC-RRT or CRT credentials (preferred)
- Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, PALS (required or within specified timelines)
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with attention to safety and quality standards
