Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments in critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality patient care, including ventilator management, airway procedures, and arterial blood gas sampling.
Educate patients, families, and support systems, as well as mentor new staff and students.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and implement care, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols.
Promote a safe environment through accurate documentation, medication safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
Participate in invasive procedures, pulmonary testing, and other location-specific tasks.
Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and professional development activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program with at least 20 quarter hours of science.
Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Certifications: NBRC-RRT, Respiratory Care Professional, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (or provisional/instructor levels).
0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
Strong communication, critical thinking, assessment skills, and computer literacy.
