Performs diagnostic cardiopulmonary evaluations and respiratory therapies under physician supervision.
Initiates, modifies, and documents procedures such as administering gases, aerosolized medications, airway maintenance, and supporting mechanically ventilated patients.
Conducts pulmonary function tests, hemodynamic monitoring, and specimen collection.
Educates patients, families, and the public about cardiopulmonary deficiencies.
Maintains and troubleshoots respiratory equipment, completes competency requirements, and adheres to organizational standards.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 0-5 years of work experience.
Physical requirements include continuous mobility, lifting up to 50 lbs, and visual, auditory, and tactile acuity.
Works rotating night shifts, overtime, and in various environments, demonstrating interpersonal skills and teamwork.
