Role: The Registered Respiratory Therapist assesses patient respiratory needs, develops and evaluates treatment plans, and performs therapeutic modalities such as aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and artificial airway care. They manage mechanical ventilators, provide patient and family education, assist with intra-hospital transport, and respond to emergent airway situations. They also collect blood gas samples, assist with invasive procedures, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and establish care plans.
- Perform and document routine therapies and manage ventilators.
- Educate patients and families on disease management.
- Assist with procedures like bronchoscopy and invasive line placement.
- Support patient transport and emergency airway management.
- Adhere to safety, institutional, and national standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program (required).
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices, protocol-driven care, and collaboration with critical care teams.
- Strong communication, assessment, and technical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
