Registered Occupational Therapist (OT)

Role: Provides occupational therapy services in a skilled nursing environment to help patients achieve functional improvement and enhance quality of life.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop, assess, and modify individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals.
  • Supervise and evaluate care provided by OT assistants and aides.
  • Document patient progress accurately and timely using therapy software.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Assist in planning patient activities of daily living and functional goals.
  • Maintain confidentiality, adhere to legal and organizational policies, and uphold professionalism.
  • Participate in community health projects and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate from an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT).
  • Current licensure and registration in the applicable state.
  • CBOT certification upon hire; renewal optional.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions, demonstrate good body mechanics, and work well within a team.
  • CPR certification preferred or obtained during orientation.

  • Set and evaluate functional, measurable goals for patients.
  • Provide excellent customer service and positive patient interactions.
  • Demonstrate dependable attendance and professional conduct.
  • Engage in ongoing compliance, safety, and confidentiality practices.
