Role: Provides occupational therapy services in a skilled nursing environment to help patients achieve functional improvement and enhance quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, assess, and modify individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals.
- Supervise and evaluate care provided by OT assistants and aides.
- Document patient progress accurately and timely using therapy software.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Assist in planning patient activities of daily living and functional goals.
- Maintain confidentiality, adhere to legal and organizational policies, and uphold professionalism.
- Participate in community health projects and uphold safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT).
- Current licensure and registration in the applicable state.
- CBOT certification upon hire; renewal optional.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and effective communication skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions, demonstrate good body mechanics, and work well within a team.
- CPR certification preferred or obtained during orientation.
