Role Overview: Provides specialized nursing care in a Level III NICU, supporting critically ill neonates and their families in a family-centered, single-room environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver advanced neonatal nursing care, including resuscitation, monitoring, and interventions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Occasionally float into Peds/PICU, SCN, and Mother Baby units as needed.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and institutional policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree required within five years if starting with an Associate’s.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Level III/IV NICU setting.
- Current Illinois RN licensure, BLS (AHA), and NRP certification within six months.
