Role Overview: The Specialty Nurse II in the Cardiac Device Clinic provides clinical leadership and manages device care for patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices. They perform device interrogations, reprogramming, and remote monitoring, ensuring high-quality, standardized patient care. The nurse collaborates with the electrophysiology team, reviews device transmissions, and communicates critical findings to physicians. They support operational workflows, educate patients and families, and triage urgent cases. Additionally, they may assist with outreach and respond to device recalls.
Qualifications & Skills: Minimum of 2 years RN experience, preferably in cardiovascular or device clinics. Knowledge of cardiac devices, critical thinking skills, and the ability to interpret arrhythmias and troubleshoot devices are essential. The role requires independent device reprogramming, data review, and effective communication with medical teams and patients. Flexibility to perform additional duties and travel as needed is important.
