Role Overview:
The Staff Nurse provides safe, compassionate nursing care across patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans. They collaborate with the clinical team, including nurses and physicians, to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
Responsibilities:
– Deliver high-quality nursing care in a Level 2E Special Care Nursery
– Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient treatment
– Complete required certifications, including Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within six months
– Maintain current licensure and BLS certification
– Participate in rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications & Skills:
– Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree required within five years if only an Associate Degree
– Preferred 2+ years of NICU Level 3 RN experience
– Valid Illinois RN license
– Strong communication and teamwork skills
