Registered Nurse (RN) – Women’s Services
Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the Women’s Services Department, utilizing the nursing process according to scope and standards.
- Perform interventions such as medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Document patient care, monitor conditions, and communicate with the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including hygiene, nutrition, elimination, and mobility.
- Coordinate care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, and referrals.
- Educate patients and families tailored to their age, culture, and needs.
- Advocate for patients’ physical and emotional well-being and participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Maintain reliable attendance and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current RN license in North Carolina or a compact state.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS and PALS preferred.
- 6 months to 1 year hospital labor and delivery or medical-surgical experience.
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring and NRP certifications.
